Ebola virus disease (EVD), a severe bleeding fever, is often fatal to humans. The virus RNA of the Ebola kind are part of the family Filoviridae and different species have been identified, of which some associated with a large epidemics in Africa. The transmission of the virus in human communities is through contact with blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals. A few months ago, the WHO approved a first vaccine.
